I had Cingluar wireless and the people at Cingulartold me in my area that I would have mediumcoverage, well I didn't even have that I had 0 to1 bars and couldn't talk in Wal-Mart on my phoneso I called told them I couldn't get any serviceand they decided I needed a new phone, thishappened 3 times every time they would send me anew phone. I had a 750 min. a month then theywould roll over in 10 months time I finallycancelled the service with over 7800 minutes thatI couldn't even use. I hate Cingluar wireless. - asked by tracy211968

Ask Cingular what do they consider medium coveragearea; then ask to speak with a supervisor andexplain your problem.Advise them that you arewilling to go to their competion and/or internetand tell what lousy service you had from cingular, and the response from their representatives.Goodluck - answered by: Joseph N

Question: #3: I have a cingular wireless cell and im going toeurope in a few days. Would I still have serviceover there?
I have a Nokia cell phone with Cingular Wirelesshere in the states. I'm traveling to Europe, Spainand Italy to be exact. Do you guys know if I'llstill have service over there? As in, can I stillmake phone calls (charged roaming of course)and/or send text messages with my cell? Anyanswers I recieve will be very helpful. Thank you. - asked by quickhitboy

Ok, first you have to have Cingular authorize andactivate "International Roaming" on your phone. You will be able to make calls, send and receivetext messages, and even use the internet in mostplaces IF AND ONLY IF your phone is a tri-band orquad-band World Phone.Keep in mind that roaming inSpain and Italy will be NO LESS THAN $1 perminute, and you'll be charged anywhere between 30cents and a dollar for each message you send, depending on its size and content.Although you mayuse your Cingular phone and account to roamoverseas, it is VERY expensive. You would be a lotbetter off having Cingular "UNLOCK" your phonebefore you go. This will allow you to use SIMcards from local providers in your phone. InEurope, pre-paid SIM cards are easy to find, andfor around 30 Euros (USD $35-$40), you can buyenough minutes to get around and make variousphone calls for a week or two. You will have adifferent phone number based out of the countrywhere you bought the card. You may need to buy onein Spain AND one in Italy, as InterEuropeanroaming isn't cheap either. - answered by: James, Morgnostic

Question: #5: With cingular wireless. Does it cost anything toreceive and pen a message?
With cingular wireless. Does it cost anything torecive and pen a message?I meant TEXT message notPEN message sorry 4 the hastle. - asked by Think with KM.

If you haven't bought a text messagingplan/package, I believe that the standard rate forboth sending and receiving text messages is 10cents per message. If you text a lot, you can buypackages (a certain number of messages allowedeach billing cycle for a flat rate) and it willsave you some money. - answered by: maggie_n_adam

Question: #7: How can I get a refund from Cingular wireless whentheir phone service was terrible?
I ordered 3 phones (a family plan) from Cingularwireless and everyone’s phone worked Ok butmine. After two weeks of calls and emails torectify the problem I was left with no choice butto cancel my service. I mailed back the phones(at my expense) and was given a refund except for$33. Cingular refuses to refund that balancebecause I had some use of the phone. I liken thisto eating a shrimp dinner that makes you sick andthe restaurant still makes you pay for the riceand beans that came with it. I would not haveordered a phone that only worked half the time. They know this because of the constantdisconnections I got trying to rectify theproblem. I finally resorted to my landline whereI was treated with misinformation, incompetenceand indifference. Contacting the FCC gets mereferred back to Cingular and the cycle continues. Any suggestions or should I just chalk this up toexperience and share my story to try to saveothers from a "Cingular" fate? - asked by Juanita F

Question: #8: What is a good quality cell phone from CingularWireless? I am interested in good voice qualityand talk time.
I currently own a T720 flip phone from CingularWireless and I need to upgrade the phone. I wanta cell phone with great voice quality, good talktime, voice record, address book, camera, and etc. - asked by cheerfulcagirl

flip phone batteries don't last as longcandy barstyle phones have slightly bigger batteries andhigher capacity, so it last a bit longer.if youwant a flip phone check to see if it has speakerphone capability. From experience, the ring volumeis so low on non-speaker phone due to the speakerbeing inside the clamshell. The ringer volume onspeaker phone is louder because the speaker is onthe outside.Try the slvr L7you have 30 days to tryit out - answered by: buddhaboy

No, it will NOT work. Verizon's phones are CDMA,which don't use sim cards. Cingular's phones areGSM, which require a sim card to work. They aretwo completely different technologies and are notcompatible with each other's networks. - answered by: Inuyasha (12NI)
