All Answers: Answer #1You can buy that if you want! I don't see a problem! I was buying my sawdust for 100 nestboxes at a time and couldn't afford that. Sinceyou only have 1 pair, there is no reason why youcan't buy that! It is fine!Do NOT change thenesting material until AFTER the babies have comeout of the box so you don't upset the mom.Yourfemale will come out every other day or so topoop. You will know she has laid eggs when youstart seeing LARGE globs of poop on the bottom ofthe cage!

Just get plain white pine shavings! I use that andI have tried care fresh but they hate it. I hopeyou are going to handfeed the babies. There arehundreds of untame and unwanted parakeets outthere and handfeeding and hand taming them makesfor a better pet and one that gets more attentionand love.
