Any wire cage, because they like to climb. Or anaquarium with wire top ventilation(needs to becleanedmore)

the cage the previous person said is much to smallfor a syrian hamster, they dont fit in the wheel!i personally like the crittertrails, heres some ofthe ones i like:

get a fish tank fill it with bedding a and weel the other ones r to hard to clean
