Use a white sauce in place of the cream soup. Cooka tablespoon of margarine and a tablespoon offlour together over medium heat. (Don't brown.)Season with a dash of salt and pepper, then slowlyadd a cup of milk, stirring constantly until themixture is the consistency of coffee creamer.Youcan add a half cup of cheese to the white sauce ifyou like cheese in your casserole. Use as youwould any cream soup. Mix with cooked macaroni, acan of well-drained tuna, some chopped pimento, and some finely-diced onion. Adjist seasonings, pour into an ovenproof dish, top with butteredcrumbs or crumbled potato chips, and bake at 350degrees until bubbly.
