Question : Why Isn't Norman Hsu as big a scandal as Jack Abramoff was?
When Bernie Schwarz/Loral got permission from the Clinton administration to transfer missile technology to China it gave them the ability to rain warheads down on the entire continental USA as well as shootdown satellites. The mysterious "New" university board Schwarz serves on included Hsu, and figures at the center of the Clinton Chinagate scandal. Hsu and Hochberg/Lillian Vernon Co. have made a lot of interesting campaign donations but not on party lines, one wonders what they got for their money? We need to demand better ethics not better loopholes or excuses. Read the list at spreadsheet.

The Hsu scandal isn't as big because the MSMdoesn't consider Democratic scandals to benewsworthy. Of course you have to also recall thatat least 38 Democrats were involved in theAbramoff payoffs and that bit of information neverseemed to get reported.

Because Jack Abramoff was close to the Republicanleadership - like Tom Delay, and directlyinfluenced policy. Hsu was just a guy who lovedto spread money around and didn't ask for anypolitical favors, except to get his name in thepaper. And in any event, Clinton, Obama andothers quickly returned his largesse. Total nonevent, IMO. The GOP is just fishing for nothinghere, and frankly, they have bigger problems toworry about than this thing.OH, and BTW, the Loralthing is totally overblown in terms of thetechnology that was supposedly transferred toChina. I worked in the satellite industry andthere wasn't much in the info that could be usedto "shoot down" satellites.

Because it would indict Hillary Clinton. Andconsidering the amount of scandals the media hasignored surounding the Clintons, more illegalactivity is not really that big a surprise.
