Question : Has anyone ever used legalzoom.com? Is it legit?
I am preparing a will and am considering using their product. Is this a reputable site/product? Please advise.

All Answers: Answer #1I have used it a few times and have been very happy. I asked my attorney about the site and heagreed, it is a very good site for wills, POAmedical and financial, LLCs, etc.

One of the problem with one size fits all legalsolutions is that they do not take intoconsideration the difference in state laws. Thatis a complaint I have heard from some of theonline legal sites. They do not have 50 differentattornies working for them, each representing adifferent state. They could not afford to dothat. That would easily be 5 million a year justfor their salaries. Instead, they try to get afew lawyers to be experts on many states. Theyare bound to screw things up.Is your will complex? Is there danger of someone contesting it? Haveyou heard if the probate laws in your state arecomplex? If the answer is yes to any of thesequestions, then I would advice hiring a locallawyer to help you draw up the document. Spend alittle money now and it will save your family afortune later on.
