Question: #7: How do I move my mail from one POP3 server to anew POP3 server?
I currently am using a service provider callediPowerweb for my small business's email and domainhosting. I would like to switch to another serviceprovider. I know what needs to be done to switchthe domain and the hosting however, I am not surewhat to do with the mail portion. All of myemployees currently use the Webmail function andkeep all their mail on the server as oppose tousing the POP3 access and downloading to Outlook. How do I move all their mail to the new POP3server?? - asked by shenil80

Usually POP3 Mail Services won't let you exporttheir mail to a new service. The easiest way is toset up outlook to recieve mail from the old POP3server. Once that is done you can put in the newPOP3 server information and recieve mail from it.That is the easiest way to transfer from webmailservices that i can think of. - answered by: Man Ace

Question: #8: Is it legal for a company to buy a domain that Iwas going to purchase?
I have been looking around the internet for aDomain Name for my company (which mostly does freecharity work), I typed the domain I wanted intoone of those Domain Search Engines on Friday, andthen purchased it through IPowerWeb. It takesabout 3 days for Ipower to purchase the domain, and in that time period, someone with the email"domainsales@gmail.com", purchased the domain nameand is now trying to sell it to me for aridiculous price. I was wondering the legality onthis, especially since they got it through mesearching a domain purchasing site. - asked by blakegadams

Perfectly legal. Your intermediatary should nothave taken so long to have secured the site inthis fast-paced world. Imagine that you wantedthe last hot product from the store shelf, but ittook you three days to reach for it; you'dprobably miss out. However, the fact that another'phantom' company mysteriously snatched up theexact same address as you while iPowerWeb was'securing' the purchase of your site seemsincredibly convienient, that's just my take. - answered by: themayorbynight

Question: #9: Advice and suggestions on web hosting companies?
I've been looking for a webhost to host 3different sties I have under 1 plan. I don't needa dedicated server or anything big and fancy(yet). I use Yahoo now for one of my sites butthey don't support hosting multiple domains on oneplan. That is a must for me. So far I'mconsidering BlueHost, DreamHost, and IPowerWeb.Any thoughts on them? Are there any other hosts Ishould consider? Are there any good web hostingcatalogs with user reviews? I looked for userreviews web hosting providers and I didn't havemuch luck.@#Red and others:I will not clickaffiliate links or any links which appear to havereferal code. - asked by webdev167

Question: #10: Has anybody actually used the bandwidth and spaceof these webhosting companies?
Companies like Dreamhost, ipowerweb, powweb, promise ridiculous amounts of bandwidth and space, but does ANYBODY actually use over 20GB bandwidthand still be able to enjoy the low cost of sharedhosting?I can't help but think it's misleadingadvertising because they know its unlikely anybodycan take advantage of that without : reselling, streaming video & radio, porn, illegalpiracy...etc.Ok, one answer so far, I want answersthat are CONSTANT not "I did it once" because ithappens, you can get dugg sometimes too, ithappens, but not monthly./ - asked by Smartass

I actually over exceeded my bandwidth by mistakeone time. I had made a picture video of a floodin our local area, and passed the link to allfamily and friends. Somehow a local news channelhad gotten a hold of it, and praised it on the 10pm newscast. The video was getting played so muchafter that, that I actually had to shut the sitedown. So now instead of using a hosting providerfor this kind of stuff, I run my own server and sofar Time Warner has been leaving me alone on thebandwidth issues.Hope this helps - answered by: CrownPC
