Question: #1: What do the workers/chashiers at Vitamin Shoppe wear?
I'm thinking about applying there as a first job.I'm only 18, but I have extensive knowledge aboutvitamin/minerals/supplements, but I'd probablyjust be a cashier. I've never been inside thestore, but what do the workers wear if you canremember correctly? Is it a button down whiteshirt with black slacks or something like that?

Who cares what they wear? If you haven't even hada job yet, you shouldn't and can't be toopicky.......its' better than a McDonald'suniform.Usually those kinds of stores the uniformisn't really noticable as a "uniform" like acertain polo shirt with the store logo orsomething.Even if you were just a cashier yourknowledge of vitamins would be helpful tocustomers who ask questions. - answered by: Lucy

Best quality products. I prefer a website.We can'talways eat everything we need to eat every day inorder to be healthy. That is why we needsupplements from time to time. Supplements includemuch more than just vitamins. And no, it is notfor weight loss.

Question: #4: Synthesized, or real amino acids suppliments in places like "the vitamin shoppe" ,are they potent?
I know that synthesized vitamin E. Does nothingfor the body, because it basically just tricks thebody into thinking it has vitamin E, so it isworse than no Vitamin E at all. But are aminoacids synthesized, and if so are they good for thebody? Does any one take amino acids?

How do you think 'real' amino acids are made? (Answer: they are synthesized by the body or bythe bodies of animals you consume.) There's nodifference in an amino acid--they're fairly simplemolecules--whether you make it in a lab or in achicken or in a human.I don't know how you 'know'that about vitamin E, because what you said didn'tmake any sense. Vitamins are a little morecomplicated molecules than amino acids, so thereare different forms of them, and there are anumber of different molecules that all go underthe general name "vitamin E". The main differenceis in the absorption level, but all of them willmore or less do the same job. It's a prettyprevalent vitamin in natural foods, so I don'tknow whether or not they usually synthesize itwhen they make pills, but if you don't want totake it in pill form, by all means eat lots ofnuts, seeds and vegetable oils and you'll get allyou need.The main advantage to taking amino acidsupplements, in any case, barring certain veryrare genetic deficiency disorders, is toestablishments like The Vitamin Shoppe. I don't know of any vitamin that would reallywork. But I would check with your doctor to maybedo a hormone test on you. Sometimes when certainhormones are off we can loose our libido. - answered by: regina
