Question : Is the resistance on the Bowflex power rods the same as the weight from free weights?
I've heard rumors that the amount of weight that you can do on a Bowflex with Power rod technology does not equal the amount of that you can do with free wights. This is hard to describe and probably harder to understand, so here is an example:If I can bench 210 on a Bowflex, can I bench 210 on a regular free weight bench?I don't have access to any free weights so I can't test for myself... so help please?

My understanding is that the power rods increaseresistance as they bend more. Not initially thefull weight. But as you change arm position usingweights, the leverage changes affecting theresistance some, too.Just keep incrementing therod resistance 5-10%. You are getting stronger. Try doing pushups with various hand and armpositions. The more you can do in all positions, the stronger you are.
