What people talked about Enterprise Rent-A-Car:
Question: #1: Does Enterprise Rent-a-Car know if I've taken thecar out of Ontario?
I want to rent a car from Enterprise but on theirpage it says that I get unlimited km if I drive inOntario. Will they know if I take the car to theUS? - asked by JLa

I worked at ERAC for over 8 years.... so #1 theyDO NOT have GPS tracking on ANY of their cars.#2they will know because you will have an issue atthe border.ERAC has dozens of cars every monthstuck on the wrong side of the US/Canada border. If the car is a rental and it is not written onthe contract that it is OK to cross over you willget stuck..... and you might owe more that $1000to get it out of impound fees and have a driverget it back to the branch you got it from.I knowthis because I dealt with it for years. Peoplewould rent here in the US and be told not to driveit across the border. Of course a few would andthen upon attempting to cross back into the US theCanadian authorities would realise that this carwas not allowed to be driven into Canada so theywould impound it. Same thing happens in theUS.You do have a slim chance maybe 10% that youwon't get caught.... but is it worth it? Pushfor the upgrade maybe pay a little more for it tobe set up. They do have the right to restrict toradius of distance you are driving the car. So ifyou tell them just across the border they willagree, but if you tell them Florida you are out ofluck..... - answered by: Mr. Right

Question: #3: Can enterprise rent-a-car charge you after youdrop off the car and get a receipt?
I went to enterprise a couple days ago and droppedoff my rental. I pulled up and gave the guy thekey, he gave me a receipt and that was it. I didnot get insurance. If they see any damage to thecar after it's been dropped off can they charge mycredit card? Basically, can enterprise charge mycredit card after it's been dropped off and paidfor if they see something wrong with the car? Ordoes enterprise see it as a loss since they didn'tsee it during drop-off? - asked by Gina C

Read your rental contract. If it says that youare released from liability after you've droppedoff the car, then you are fine. If all it says isthat you are liable for damages, they may stillhold you responsible for what they may findlater. At some point, they will deem the vehicleready to rent to the next customer. Wherever thatpoint may be, that is when, logically, they mustrelease your liability. The details are IN thecontract. - answered by: Vince M

Question: #4: Car Rental Satisfaction or Not...Have you everbeen asked to rate ENTERPRISE Rent A Car Company?
According to Enterprise, J. D. Powers namesEnterprise Rent A Car the best in customerservice. I'm just wondering where they get theirinput from. Have any of you ever rented fromEnterprise and been asked if you were satisfied ornot? Or is this just advertising mumbo jumbo fromEnterprise. ALL companies claim to be THE BESTand use this in their advertisements because theydon't think anyone will question it. Well, I'mstarting to question it. Please let me know ifyou or anyone you know things Enterprise is allthey say they are. - asked by chaskfrazier

I've rented from Enterprise and been asked to ratethe service. I don't know if J.D. Powers was theasker as this was some time back. However, I doknow that J.D. Powers would not allow Enterpriseto make such a claim if it were not true. Finally,a caveat: Your experience may vary. There aregreat Enterprise locations and there are ones thatcould be improved just like with any company. - answered by: Flyboy

Question: #6: Anyone rented form Enterprise Rent a Car?
Hi everyone!! I am suppose to rent a car fromEnterprise in about three weeks. Have anyone hadany dealing with them before. Any good or bad? Ijust want to know what to expect. Thanks inadvance!!! - asked by anyaha04

I rent cars all the time, but never had rentedfrom Enterprise until my car was in an accidentand the insurance company sent me to Enterprise. To tell you the truth, it was a very differentexperience than I had with any of the other rentalcompanies. They picked me up at the body shop, Igot there, signed the paper work, and off I went. The rental was for a week, but had to extend foranother week because my vehicle was still notready. A simple phone call and it was done. WhenI returned the vehicle, they drove me back to theshop. Easy as pie. No hassles at all. I wasimpressed. - answered by: Dirty Stacks

Tell him to brainstorm about his current job. Write down all his experiences and turn it into aresume. Sales, management, accounting, customerservice... he probably has his hand in a little ofall of those. He could get his property andcasualty license and sell insurance. - answered by: James W

It all depends then.....at my small branch imade about 75k and at the big place i made closeto 70k....but its all commissioned based for themost part - answered by: mr_loony_toonz

Question: #10: How much does Enterprise Rent-a-car charge per dayfor an underage (21-24) driver?
- asked by dukeblueforlife

It varies between $0-15 per day. A location Irented from in Las Vegas charged no fee, while thelowest fee I could find near me was $10. Whereveryou're renting from, look at all the locations tosee which has the lowest fee. Even $15 is stilllower than the $25 most other national chainscharge. (Note: it may be higher in New York, where state law requires that all persons aged 18and higher must be able to rent a car. As aresult, insurance costs are higher there.)To loweryour cost even further, go to entertainment.comand get an Entertainment book, which has couponsfor up to 20% off daily and weekly rentals, regardless of age. Avoid airport locations, whichgenerally have more taxes and higher fees. Also,if you have a Visa credit card (not check card),decline the collision/damage waiver (CDW) when yourent the car. Visa has its own CDW insurance youcan use, and it will save you from having to payanother daily fee. - answered by: Omar Y.
