Question : Hi can anyone tell me if the eastern europe rail pass and the Balkan Flexipass are a good way of doing europe?
or is it better to just pay when you are there and maybe get buses?I wanting to do most of eastern europe as well as Croatia and the greek islands as cheap as possiblethanks

Bus travel is going to be cheaper, most likely alot cheaper, the local people do use them for mostinternational and long distance travel. Butbooking on-line might be a little hard as you donot speak the local languages.The train passeswork only cheaper than single tickets if youtravel long distances, mostly across borders, oneach day of validity.This is a site that can helpyou find the prices for most distances but it willnot take reductions inaccount:

WOWPlease first explore map andconnections.Eastern Europe is Praha i.e. and Sofiatoo.From Croatia to Greek islands.It is prettytough!In Croatia train is good between Zagreb andSplit but bus is OK too.You know what please writefew taughts and I'll send you itinerary and fewtips.Bye Robert
