Question : Will I be able to assemble a Golfsmith club kit with no prior clubmaking experience?

Yes, easily. The shaft is cut to length, althoughthe length may be fine for you when you receiveit. The shaft is epoxied to the head with somepreparation. The grip is slipped on with gripsolution and held in place by grip tape applied tothe shaft. Voila! Done.You'll need a vise to holdthe club during assembly, some emery cloth to prepthe shaft for epoxy that keeps the head fromflying off (kidding), and something to catch theexcess grip solution with. That's how I startedclubmaking with a Golfsmithkit.Bob.................Golf Clubmaker'sAssociation.

this may help your confidence , find a older golfclub . disassemble the club reassemble , 5 times ,there is your practice , and confidence . goodluck .

You will be able to do it. How well you do it isquestionable. It is not that difficult, but ifyou are handy with tools it will help. It alsohelps to have the right equipment to work with andif you are only thinking of making one or two itwould be cheaper to pay for them to assemble itthan to buy all the tools needed.
