That is a promise ring. A proper engagement ringshould have a diamond in the center that is biggerthan the others.I have to commend you on a goodchoice in promise rings. I passionately hate thoseawful, tacky little rings people get for $60 thathave some fake ruby shaped like a heart. Ugh.

I think it's the perfect promise ring. It isn'tdull and typical like the others but it'sbeautiful and really hints of promises down theroad. If I were you I wouldn't purchase any ofthe protection plans Zales sells with the ringbecause it isn't an engagement ring and only apromise ring. Save that after you two havefulfilled your promises and are ready to take thebig step -- marriage!!!!

It's lovely. And the poster who said that it's anengagement ring just because it came from Zales isincorrect -- Zales sells a LOT more items thanjust engagement rings!I'm sure that there are somepeople who might consider it good enough for anengagement ring, but most people would consider ita suitable promise ring. I like it because itisn't trying to pawn itself off as amini-engagement ring.
