Question : Has anyone ordered an engagment ring from bluenile.com ?

Sorry, for something as important as an engagementring, It would have to be a face-to-face with aGIA certified gemologist.It's probably agenerational thing.

I have a really hard time buying something soimportant online without being able to see itfirst in person. I used to work at a very nicejewelry store and so I know just enough to "getmyself in trouble." You don't have to go to areally expensive jewelry store to get a greatring. Spend a little bit of time in one and lookat rings and listen to the sales person talk aboutthe ring/diamond(s). Then, you can go someplaceelse and look for rings that are comparable. Surprisingly enough, Walmart and Sams Club havevery nice rings at very good prices.Good luck andcongrats in advance!

We ordered my ring from Overstock, and that'swhere I'm getting the bands from as well. Callme cheep, but that's what I wanted. I'd rathersave the money and use it as extra mortgagepayments on the house. Or buying the hot tub wewant.He's OK with saving money :)

We had a fantastic experience with Blue Nile. Myhusband ordered my e-ring there and it isstunning. I really believe they have the bestprices that you'll find anywhere. We had my ringappraised at an independent jeweler and while theappraisal is always higher than retail, thejeweler himself said we got one heck of a deal.

I haven't but their prices look ok, I have heardfrom even local jewelers that they are reputable. Try Whiteflash.com, I have 2 friends that boughttheir rings from there and they are fabulous, theyboth appraised at almost double what they paid.They have some great styles, and a large varietyof stones.

My friend did and she loooooves the ring. I'd sayit's a good idea if you have a chance to look athow the ring looks on your finger at a jewelrystore before you buy it on bluenile.
