Question: #3: Which is better for Christmas food items - Hickory Farms or Swiss Colony?
I am wanting to purchase some various Christmasfoods - sausage and cheese gift sets, petit fours, and butter toffee. Which company is the best outthere? I've heard Swiss Colony, Hickory Farms andWilliams-Sonoma are all good, but I would reallylike to hear from someone who has had someexperience with more than one food item catalogcompany. Thanks!
- asked by moonj69
With Williams-Sonoma you pay for the name as muchas the product itself.Hickory Farms and SwissColony are okay but consider that you can get thesame thing, packaged different in your localgrocery store and a much more reasonable pricewhen it comes to the sausage and cheese balls.Iwent on ask.com and typed in recipes for petitfours and there were many to choose from. Makeyour own and save a bundle that you could morethan likely use someplace else. - answered by: Been There~Done That! View All Answers (3)

My husband is having friends over for poker. Doyou think that is a good snack?
- asked by modbride
Yes they will be very good in sweet and soursauce. They are also very good in barbecue sauce. Another quick and easy idea is to takerefrigerated biscuits, cut them in quarters, wrapthe lil smokies in them and bake in the oven forabout 10 minutes or until done in a 350 degreeoven. - answered by: LuvinCam View All Answers (5)

Question: #9: I just ate a 4 year old Summer Sausage from Hickory Farms?
It was vacuum sealed. I only swallowed one bite, then I realized the used by date. It was rathermushy, but didn't smell too bad. Do ya think I'lllive?Or get sick.
- asked by powerslave311
I'm sure you will be fine. One bite probablywon't hurt ya with the exception of a small upsetstomach and a tad bit of diarhea (worse casescenario). If it is any help, those summersausages have so much preservatives in it, itprobably wasn't even bad.. LOL. - answered by: Angel A View All Answers (6)

- asked by Yoda
No, summer sausage is fully cooked. You have toremove the wraper, I ususally cut the pcs and takeit off. I like triskets and crackers with cheeses. You can heat the sausage for a different flavor. - answered by: ph62198 View All Answers (1)
